Where Winds Meet v1.7: 2-axis rotation, component caps & small diagrams
WWM v1.7 builder tips: rotate components on 2 axes, increased component caps, new Kaifeng components, small diagrams, and more.
WWM v1.7 brings major quality-of-life changes for builders. Here is a compilation of all the cool stuff (bugs included…).
Rotate your component on 2 axis now! [PC only]
Hold Ctrl and scroll your mouse wheel to rotate a component on a second axis before placing it.

Note for mobile and PS5 players: there is no known method to rotate on a second axis as of now.
Tip: With 2 axes, you can partially rotate on the 3rd axis. You can check our Discord for a tutorial.
Component cap limits increased
For guild base
- Global cap increased by 10,000 components
- Density cap (local area) increased by 10,000 components
For solo base
- No more limitations. The density cap has been lifted entirely.
New v1.7 update components
The Kaifeng fresh zone brought new components in 2 subcategories under Guild Construction: Large Component and Structures.
Note: all new Large Component items can be placed in your guild base, but only once each.
Change time in guild base
You can now change the time of day in your guild base, just like in solo. Go to the menu and access the clock.
- Requires the Management permission.
- The time change applies to everyone in the guild.
Use Small Diagrams [Guild]
You can now use small diagrams, which are convenient for saving sections of your guild base.

Advanced Tip: Use Recommended Spot
This lets you place your small diagram more easily. As of now, small diagrams can be difficult to place.
Understanding the Copyright system [Guild and Solo]
Thanks to AegisNite Edge and Crueliet for their help to assist me figuring this out.
To save a diagram in both guild and solo base, you need to own at least 70% of the components in it, meaning you placed them yourself. If the Copyright Score is above 30%, you cannot save the diagram.
This can be a harsh limitation in collaborative builds. For example, if two builders split work 69% and 31%, neither of them can save the diagram since neither reaches the 70% threshold alone.
Other useful updates
- You can tag components in the
Favoritestab - You can edit components in guild base: move, replace, rotate
- You now can choose 3 different cameras in build mode: classic, free move, above view
- You can search components by name
Bugs
Many bugs have been reported with the update. We keep track of a list of bugs here: https://www.wherebuildersmeet.com/bugs/. Help us report.
Avoid guild base wipes and be careful when removing components! Some components (e.g. from guild construction diagrams) cannot be placed as of now, leading to issues.
