How it works

The origin
Guild bases in Where Winds Meet were too good to keep secret, so this place was born. A bot watches the Discord forum, picks up submissions, counts reactions, and syncs the showcase automatically several times a day.
Community votes
Only reactions on the first post of a thread are counted. Reactions on replies are ignored.
| Reaction | Points | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| β | +2 | Reserve for the builds you consider truly the best. Use it sparingly. |
| π π₯ β€οΈ | +1 | Any positive reaction. Use whichever fits your impression. |
Build your own voting scale βΌ
You can react with multiple emojis on the same post. Each combination adds up, so your reactions become a personal score you give that guild. Using a consistent scale makes the rankings more meaningful for everyone.
Here is one way to think about it:
- βππ₯β€οΈ= +5 pts β absolute best, a must-see
- βππ₯= +4 pts β outstanding, one of your favourites
- ππ₯β€οΈ= +3 pts β excellent, clearly above average
- ππ₯= +2 pts β really good, worth a star
- π= +1 pt β nice build, positive impression
- β= +0 pts β no strong feeling either way
You are free to pick any scale that feels right to you. What matters is staying consistent: if you give β to 50 guilds, it loses its meaning. Use it sparingly so it signals something real.
Voter weight
Votes are not all equal. The more guilds you have voted on, the more weight each of your reactions carries. Voting on a single guild barely registers.
How to make your vote count
- Browse the showcase and visit guilds you haven't seen yet.
- React honestly on each thread (β, π, π₯, β€οΈ) β only the first post counts.
- Keep exploring: the more guilds you've voted on, the more your votes matter.
You can check your own voting spread at any time with /my-votes on the Discord server.
Balanced voting matters
Fair voting is what keeps this project alive. Without it, rankings lose their value and the community that depends on them suffers.
Spreading your votes across many guilds is not enough on its own. Giving full points to one guild while leaving minimal reactions on everything else is not considered balanced voting. Try to rate each guild honestly based on what you actually think of it.
Example: giving βππ₯β€οΈ to a single guild while leaving only π across ten others raises fairness concerns.
Voters identified as abusing the system can be excluded from scoring entirely.
Scoring is still maturing
The community is young. Many excellent guilds have low scores simply because not enough people have visited them yet. Scoring is evolving, you can see your score lowering sometimes due to different reasons such as normalization. Scoring will become fairer as more voters engage broadly (expect constant changes).
Tiers
Builds are grouped into tiers based on votes, for recognition (more than competition). Post yourself your own base to give it the best chance. Voting takes time so please be patient. We try our best to highlight different guilds every week.
| Tier | Threshold | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Master | Top 15% | Exceptional community recognition |
| Diamond | Top 35% | Strongly appreciated by the community |
| Platinum | Top 50% | Well received by the community |
| Gold | Good score | Guilds that hide hidden gems |
| Silver | Basic score | Nice guilds not yet referenced by the builder |
Why does my guild have a low score or grow slowly?
Scouted guilds start near zero. To grow faster, post your own thread in #guild-base-showcase with screenshots: more visibility brings more reactions, which raises your tier. Keep in mind that voters are volunteers, so progress may take time.
