How to remove grass on Beyond Mundane island
It has come to my attention that you and the lawn are having some emotional friction. I’ve heard your cries, and I promise the grass won’t hurt your feelings anymore. Mostly because you actually have to go outside to touch it.
Now let’s scrub the grass out of your life like a bad ex without leaving a single trace behind
OPTION 1: REMOVE A LARGE AREA WITH ONLY ONE COMPONENT
STEP 1:
Build a large building. Preferably a “standard inn” or a “grand inn”
May have to place down the building first so the grass clearing feature is active.
STEP 2:
Pick it up and rotate it 45 degree like so WITH THE FRONT FACING DOWNWARD IF USING A GRAND INN or WITH THE BACK FACING DOWNWARD IF USING A STANDARD INN
STEP 3:
Use the Move tool and bury it until the very tip of the structure is just right below the ground
The result:
If you see some parts of the inn sticking out or grass are left behind, go back to STEP 2 and make sure the orientation of the building is correct
The next question you might be asking is “How do I remove the inns now with them buried under the ground?”
The answer: Glitch yourself under the lovely grass which you just flattened so you can target the buildings
STEP 1:
Build a “Rain-Listening Chair”
STEP 2:
Sink it into the ground until only a little bit of it is left
STEP 3:
Build something to catch yourself when you go below ground
Like this piece of roof. It is rotated 45 degree for better catching action
Bury most of that roof to catch yourself
STEP 4:
Sit on the buried chair and get off of it
You should now be under the ground
STEP 5:
Switch to Follow Camera so your build camera ends up under the ground and not above it
And that conclude on how to effectively remove grass and glitch yourself under the ground on Beyond Mundane island. You may try placing other buildings to remove a smaller area of grass. Another way to quickly glitch your build camera under the ground is building a standard inn while in free camera mode, wait for it to load completely and pushes your camera under the ground.
OPTION 2: REMOVE A SMALL OR SPECIFIC AREA
STEP 1:
Build a piece of “Indoor Flooring”
STEP 2:
Rotate it 45 degree
If using the larger piece, make sure the wood grain runs along North-South
The wood gain’s orientation of the small piece does not matter
STEP 4:
Sink the correctly rotated flooring tile into the ground
OR:
Create a pattern of choice
Manually sink each piece into the ground
Combining the individual pieces together and sink them all into the ground in one go does not work in current version 1.8
Even with combining, make copies, sink with Move tool. The combined object refuses to be buried 100%. Only 90% of it can be hidden under the ground.
