Can't delete or recycle an item in your base

Two fixes: switching off lite client or better camera management

Sometimes an item refuses to highlight when you hover over it, making it impossible to delete or recycle. There are two known causes.

Fix 1. Switch off lite client

If you are playing on the lite client (the lower-graphics version available on the official NetEase site), some items cannot be selected or deleted at all.

The pen/inkstone (Miscellaneous category, first row) is a confirmed example — it cannot be highlighted or removed on lite client regardless of angle.

Fix: switch to the standard client. Once you are no longer on lite client, the item highlights normally and can be deleted.

Fix 2. Use the underground camera angle

For items that still won’t highlight regardless of client, the hitbox may only be reachable from below. This works for small objects placed flush with or sunken into the ground (flowers, pots, etc.).

Steps:

  1. Enter free camera mode.
  2. Get close to the object, then lower the camera as close to the ground as possible.
  3. Slowly angle the camera upward so you are looking at the item from beneath the map.
  4. Inch forward until the item highlights.
  5. Delete or recycle it as normal.
Tip: the camera will try to snap back above the map — keep nudging it down and forward until you find the sweet spot where the highlight appears.
