1. Paint walls with indoor screens

by Crueliet

Indoor screens can be placed flush against walls to paint them with custom patterns. They also work as a replacement for long wall sections, saving on component count.

2. Triple tree cluster

by Crueliet

Placing three trees together produces a much fuller, more natural-looking result. The arrangement naturally leaves a hollow in the center — perfect for a lantern or decorative object.

3. Bypass area density limits by sinking items

by MooDSwing

When you hit the maximum area density and can’t place more items, you can sink trees or plants below the map surface to work around the limit. Use a signpost as an aim point to help offset the items into position — the signpost is especially handy for precision placement in general.

4. Steam effect from the Furniture tub

by Crueliet

The large tub in the Furniture category produces a steam particle effect. Bury it underground so only the steam rises above the surface — great for a pool area or atmospheric ground fog.

5. Buddha statue back as decoration base

by Crueliet

The back face of the buddha statue makes a clean decorative backdrop. The underside of the statue can also be used as a platform to create objects with golden lotus legs.

6. Hanging items with chains

by Crueliet

Many items can be suspended using chains. Here is an example of what is possible.
